Emeka Obinna graduated from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka in 2017 with a Bachelor of Pharmacy. He began his writing career in 2021, and his talent quickly garnered attention. In 2022, four of his short stories were published by acclaimed literary journals. He passed away on Sunday, April 2 at the age of 27. When God Burns a City is his debut novel.
