Bolaji Abdullahi is a Nigerian journalist, writer, and politician. He was educated at the University of Lagos, Nigeria, where he graduated with a B.Sc. in Mass Communication in 1994. In 2001, he was awarded the British Council Chevening Scholarship to attend the Institute of Development Studies at the University of Sussex in Brighton, UK, where he graduated with a Master of Arts with Distinction in Governance and Development. He was an Editor/Columnist with THISDAY Newspapers until 2003, when he joined the public service. He served as Commissioner for Education in Kwara State (2007–2011) and Minister of Sports and Youth Development, Federal Republic of Nigeria (2011–2014). He is the author of On a Platter of Gold: How Jonathan Won and Lost Nigeria and Sweet Sixteen.
